It is time again for Open Studios at Angels Gate! Spring is here, and the Center is celebrating 25 years as a center for artistic creation, exhibition and education.
The Studio Artist Program will be open to the public on April 27, 2008, from 11 AM - 5 PM. All of our artists will be present and ready to meet the public. The Studio Artists Program at Angels Gate Cultural Center contains a range of artists, from new MFAs to masters of their craft, and everything in between. The Center is home to artists working in diverse media, from traditional arts like painting, sculpture, ceramics and photography to installation, performance and conceptual art.
Participating artists include: Edith Abeyta, Da Aie Park, Raul Arellano, Phoebe Barnum, Delora Bertsch, Scott Brown, Kendell Carter, Elizabeth Casuga, Ann Cleaves, Robert Costanza, Slobodan Dimitrov, Beth Elliott, Anna Erneholm, Logan Fox, Frederick Friedel, Rique Guzman, Susan Hawkins, Christopher James, Ryan Jursich, Brendan Karg, Dennis Keeley, Yuichiro Roy Kunisaki, Andrea Lien, David Mares, Gil Mares Elaine Miller-David, Frank Minuto, Kimiko Miyoshi, Jon Nakamura, Perry Okimoto, Susan Rawcliffe, Peggy Reavey, Jay Sheldon, Ailene Shibata, Kaisa Slojin, Michelle Solorio, Matthew Thomas, Amy Thornberry, Pat Tierney, Joyce Weiss, Deborah Wright, and Edie Zelon.
In addition to our Open Studios, the Center's classrooms and workshops will be open, providing demos and activities for adults, families and kids. Make a print in our printmaking shop and experience the flames of raku pottery or see Kyudo archery, bellydance, Irish dance and more...
