Michelle Solorio was born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca. She grew up as an only child, and would entertain herself for hours, losing track of time, while she drew in her journal, in her books and on the walls. This loss of time and space is a place that she tries to reach in her practice and play as an artist in her studio. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art, with an emphasis in Ceramics from California State University, Long Beach. Michelle works as a teaching artist and enjoys sharing the opportunity to create with children and adults. Michelle creates from memories, relationships with people, life-changing travel, as well as all the intriguing things that she sees and experiences around her in daily life.
